“When I set out to design this bridle, I was frustrated by what I couldn’t find — a beautifully fitting bridle made from true, classic leather. So much of what’s available today is overly processed, coated, or dyed in a way that lacks character and feel. I wanted leather that would oil beautifully, darken naturally, and develop a unique patina over time — something that gets better with age and use.
I kept the look traditional with a classic fancy stitch and incorporated a double-stitched noseband for added durability and refinement. But I also took the opportunity to rethink the placement of the raised details — not just for style, but to subtly enhance the horse’s expression without overwhelming it. The result is a bridle that’s timeless, functional, and flattering — something I’m proud to offer through The In Gate.”
