HAAS has been producing horse care and wellness brushes in Donaueschingen in the Black Forest of Germany for over 100 years.

Since 1919, HAAS products have been manufactured in the Black Forest of Germany. Their brushes and curries reflect the hands-on craftsmanship and love that has been used to produce them for over a century. The Black Forest region of Germany has a long history of brush manufacturing and craftsmanship, with knowledge and experience that has been passed on from generation to generation.

The end of the 19th century was the era of door-to-door peddlers and traveling salesmen. At that time, the brushes were completely crafted by hand.  Today, HAAS uses the latest manufacturing technology but relies on traditional, hands-on skills to ensure the highest quality and craftsmanship.

When selecting materials, special attention is placed on quality. The required horsehairs are prepared more than other brushes in order to prevent germs and other pollutants from entering. The hand straps ensure safe handling. The brush body is constructed of hygienic plastics. For their soft curries HAAS purposely does not use rubber as it can often contain elements that can be harmful to your horse’s health. All HAAS brushes made of these materials can be washed and disinfected.
